Students enjoy age-appropriate learning with many hands-on activities, centers, group work, as well as direct instruction. Phonemic awareness, word families, and spelling patterns introduce reading. Kindergartners also engage in hands-on, kinesthetic, and inquiry-based activities across all subject areas. Religion is interwoven in class activities throughout the day. Kindergartners attend Mass each week and join in the great feast celebrations over the course of the liturgical year.
They also participate in special classes throughout a given week in physical education, music, Spanish, art, computer, and visits to the library.
